Biography:  K9 Midge

Meet Midge, who is certified by the Guinness World’s Records as the world's smallest police dog. Midge weighs in at only 8 pounds, but she packs quite a punch when it comes to finding drugs. A cross between a Chihuahua and a Rat Terrier, Midge joined the K9 unit of the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office when she was just 10 weeks old. She began her narcotic training at 3 ½ months and passed her certification test, administered by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, becoming an official narcotics dog only one day after her first birthday. Midge has become an international celebrity with television appearances all over the United States and even the world. Appearances include the Rachael Ray Show, Fox and Friends, CNN, MSNBC, Geraldo at Large, Inside Edition and many others. Midge gets fan mail from Europe, China, South Africa and even South America. Why, even the United States Military has called about her. Midge lives with her owners Bev and Geauga County Sheriff Dan McClelland and goes to work everyday helping Sheriff Dan. You see, even though she is tiny, with her nose and her credentials Midge really can put the bad guys behind bars.
